We made it back from HayDays safe and sound. We brought back a little hardware this year, so we are happy.
Saturday, we ran the Improved 700 and Improved 800. We happened to advance through the first rounds in both classes The next round wwere both semi-finals. We advanced through the Imp 700, but were beat out in the Imp 800. We ended up with a 3rd in the Imp 700 final. After working for the last 3 years with an Improved 700, we finally made it to a final. We definatly need some more work, but were happy with this 3rd place finish.
Sunday, was all the Stocker. Again, we ran the Stock 700, Stock 800, and Stock Open. After the first round, the Stock Open was the only one we didn't advance it. The larger cc motors have finally surpassed our lower hp sled. We advanced to the semi-finals in the Stock 800, but were edged out by Glenn Hall's 2010 CFR8 and Guy Breton's Ski-doo. In the 700 class, we snuck in a win to move to the final.
The final was stacked with competition, but with my crew chief picking a great line, and some help from above, we came out ahead of the competition!
It was a pretty good weekend, and were glad we could be successful at the last HayDays in the Waldoch location.
The next race is in IA, but I don't think we will go. It is 14hrs each way and only a 1 day event. We will test and head for Wausau, WI for the race on the 27th.
